An Exhibition of Works by Fred Draper
New artwork at the gallery in February from Fred Draper, featuring landscapes from the West Coast made over the past three years. Opening night will be First Friday, Feb. 7 from 5-8 pm.
Fred Draper grew up in St. Paris, OH, a small community outside of Dayton. He earned his BFA from Wright State University in 2006. Over the past two decades, he has lived and worked in Chicago and Los Angeles. With a heavy focus on drawing, he concentrates on the rhythm of space and the weight of the image. This body of work makes visual what he sees and experiences within the landscape.
Dutoit Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Clara Coleman.
Clara Coleman is an artist and art instructor based in Dayton Ohio. She received her BFA from Wright State University and her MFA from the University of New Hampshire. She enjoys the diversity and challenge of teaching art and art practices to toddlers through 8th graders, all in one week.
“Emerging Symbols” is a painted body of work that explores the fluid and relative symbolic connections to certain shapes, figures, and subjects by both the artist and the viewer.
