Fred Draper

I work  in the neighborhood that I currently reside in.  At this time that is Los Angeles California. As a painter I have been interested in drawing as it pertains to perception.  My work is  characterized by painterly structure and rigorous drawing. In a world that uses color to quickly grab one's attention I turn to drawing to focus on those things that may be otherwise overlooked. Basically I am attempting to use drawing to slow down and look and to observe the visual world and its structures.
